The University of New Mexico will host the 26th annual New Mexico Women’s Football Clinic on July 22 at Dreamstyle Stadium with festivities starting at 5:30 p.m.
The purpose of the clinic is to give women a first-hand look at the inner workings of the Lobo football program. The clinic also provides attendees an opportunity to meet UNM coach Bob Davie, his coaching staff and members of the Lobo football program.
“The Lobo Football Women’s Clinic has been a great tradition,” Davie said in a release. “Every year we look forward to the opportunity to give the women of New Mexico an inside look of what Lobo football is all about.”
All participants will get a T-shirt and have dinner provided by Buffalo Wild Wings.
Everyone will take part in a question and answer session, take a tour of the Lobo football facilities and participate in on-field drills with instruction from the Lobo football players and coaches.
The cost of the event is $30 with proceeds benefiting the Send-A-Kid Program, which allows underprivileged youth to attend Lobo football games. Groups of 10 or more can pick up tickets to the event for just $20 per person.
Women should purchase tickets in advance, but a limited number of walk-up slots will be available the day of the clinic.
Check-in at the Tow Diehm athletic building will begin at 5:30 p.m. with dinner being served at 6 p.m. Athletic clothing and sneakers are recommended.
Participants must be at least 21 years of age and are encouraged to register in advance online at golobos.com/tickets or call (505) 925-LOBO.
