Said Muñoz: “This has been a dream of mine since I was just 5 years old. I am blessed beyond belief and want to make UNM Athletics proud.”

A native of Mission Viejo, Calif., Muñoz spent the spring of 2015 playing for the Mexican U20 team and had starts at Notre Dame and Michigan State during team’s tour of the U.S.tour.

Muñoz played in 77 games and started 75 for UNM while logging over 6,000 minutes. She totaled eight goals and 10 assists for her career, and had 15 points during her All-Mountain West Conference senior season.

Report: Cerrone has another fight

ESPN and Yahoo Sports reported that Edgewood resident Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone is in line to fight Justin Gaethje in the main event for the Sept. 14 Fight Night card in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Cerrone (36-12, 1 NC) lost last month to Tony Ferguson to end a three-fight win streak. Gaethje (20-2) scored first-round knockouts over James Vick and Edson Barboza in his previous two fights.
