Police ID man shot and killed outside car wash

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The Albuquerque Police Department identified 30-year-old Matthew Shaw as the man killed in a shooting outside a car wash early Tuesday morning.

APD spokesman Gilbert Gallegos said no arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.

Police say officers responded to the shooting around 1:30 a.m. when a passerby found Shaw injured in the street near Marble and San Mateo NE.

Shaw was pronounced dead at the scene, and detectives interviewed his brother, who saw the incident.

Since then APD has released surveillance video of the shooting, and alleged suspects, from a nearby car wash in the hopes of identifying them.
