She’ll be flying down Highway 40

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Jill Cohn is a travelin’ girl in a man’s world — and she’s writing about it.

The Seattle-based singer/songwriter will perform at 6:30  p.m. Monday, Oct. 8, at Nexus Brewery, 4730 E. Pan American NE. Cohn’s latest release, “Beautiful I Love You,” is a collection of songs that take a whimsical and bittersweet look inside long-distance love affairs and relocation. It was produced by Martin Feveyear, who has also worked with Brandi Carlile.

Her songs have been featured on TV shows “Smallville” and MTV’s “Skins.” Cohn counts her musical influences as Joni Mitchell, Sarah McLachlan and Counting Crows. The show is an all-ages event and is free.
