The Albuquerque Metro area’s first consolidated election – which will include City Council, Albuquerque Public Schools and Central New Mexico Community College races; city and public school bond issues; campaign public finance issues; and more – is Nov. 5. The Journal plans to publish its endorsements for contested statewide and Albuquerque-area offices as voting begins in early to mid October.
Candidates in those contested races who would like to meet with members of the editorial board before endorsements are published should contact editorial page editor D’Val Westphal before Sept. 30 at 823-3858 or via email at email@example.com. Please include contact phone numbers. Interviews can be scheduled Mondays through Thursdays at 10 a.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.
