SANTA FE — The state Ethics Commission is set to interview seven attorneys on Friday as it searches for its first executive director.
The candidates are:
— Karl Reifsteck, court executive officer in the 13th Judicial District Court;
— Mark Reynolds, clerk of the New Mexico Court of Appeals;
— Anne Taylor, attorney for the disciplinary board of the state Supreme Court;
— Amy Landau, a private attorney in Albuquerque who also has worked for a variety of state agencies;
— Jenica Jacobi, a former managing assistant city attorney for Albuquerque;
— Ramona Martinez, attorney for the Public Schools Facilities Authority;
— Jeremy Farris, chief legal counsel for the state Department of Finance and Administration.
The Ethics Commission is a new state agency that will investigate allegations of wrongdoing against legislators, lobbyists and others.
