SAN JOSE STATE quarterback Josh Love was named MWC Offensive Player of the Week and SJSU kicker Matt Mercurio was named Special Teams Player of the Week for their performances vs. New Mexico. The Spartans are rolling and are now 6-25 under third year head coach Brent Brennan. I have a feeling that Love and Mercurio won’t be the last players to win an award from the MWC after competing against UNM this season. It’s going to be a tough rest of October and November ahead to swallow.

IS HAWKING the Medicare Hotline, like Joe Namath and Mike Ditka are paid to do, a sign of Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy?

IT’S THAT TIME of year again in which I have to humbly intervene and put a stop to the overhype about the Dallas Cowboys. To repeat, they’ve been mostly average for years and years, they’re never going to win another Super Bowl as long as Jerry is the owner, and their fans are still delusional and impossible to get along with in the office.
