Person injured in possible shooting in NE ABQ

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Police are investigating a possible shooting that led to a crash and left one person injured in Northeast Albuquerque Friday night.

Daren DeAguero, an Albuquerque police spokesman, did not give the person’s condition, their gender or say whether police have any suspects.

He said officers responded to gunfire in the area of Copper and General Hodges NE and found a vehicle that “appeared to have gone off the road.”

“The subject within the car appeared to have been shot,” DeAguero said. “The individual was taken to University of New Mexico Hospital.”
