Santa Ana Star Casino Hotel might be able to help when you take part in the “$100,000 Holiday Shopping Cash Giveaway” now through Dec. 21.
Patrons will have an opportunity to win extra cash. Guests earn entries with every 500 points they accrue through Dec. 21. Drawings will be held at 8 p.m. Saturdays. Three guests will be chosen during each drawing, and each will have an opportunity to win $100,000.
Things sweeten up later this month during the “Delicious Wishes Cheesecake Giveaway” on Nov. 26-27. Star Rewards members who earn 500 points in one visit will receive a cheesecake, while supplies last. Members can earn a maximum of four cheesecakes per day.
Some lucky patrons will walk away with a new Samsung 4K UHD TV or an Apple iPad Air during the “Black Friday Giveaway.” Drawings will be held at 2, 4, 6 and 8 p.m. Nov. 29. Four winners will be picked during each drawing and will have a chance to win one of the devices. Patrons earn an entry with every 500 points they accrue on Nov. 29.
Santa Ana Star Casino is bringing back its popular “Pigskin Picks. Guests can make their weekly picks during this football season for a chance to win their share of the weekly $1,000 free play prize pool. All Star Rewards Club members will receive a free “Pigskin Picks” entry each week of the regular NFL season. Members will make picks of which teams will win the weekly NFL matchups on a Fast Rewards kiosk. The 10 people with the most correct picks will split a $1,000 free play prize pool.
Sports enthusiasts can bet on their favorite games at two sportsbooks inside the casino. Patrons can visit the main sportsbook or get a meal and refreshing beverage while placing bets at the new sportsbook inside Cantina Rio. Watch all the games that are part of the NFL Sunday Ticket inside the cantina.
The eatery is also offering a monthly special featuring a 16-ounce T-bone steak served with a loaded baked potato and corn on the cob for $18. Daily specials are also available, and happy hour is from 2 to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Enjoy $3 domestic bottled beer and $2 off all wine during happy hour.
There is something for everyone this Thanksgiving at Santa Ana Star. The Feast Buffet will be serving a traditional turkey meal with all the fixings. Guests can choose from roast turkey, carved ham, prime rib, shrimp, oysters, traditional Thanksgiving sides, New Mexican favorites, seasonal pies and more. The special feast is $24.95 for adults and will be offered from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Nov. 28.
The Juniper Steakhouse will offer a three-course fine-dining roast turkey dinner with a choice of butternut squash bisque or chopped salad and their choice of dessert for $45. The dinner will be offered from noon to 9 p.m. on Nov. 28. A full menu also will be available.
Cantina Rio will have a New Mexican Thanksgiving dinner from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Nov. 28. The dinner includes roast turkey, ham, green chile stuffing, green beans, corn and red chile gravy for $19.95 per person. Guests can also enjoy an all-you-can-eat dessert buffet for $7.
It’s all about the laughs at The Stage.
Renowned comedian Nikki Glaser returns to The Stage tonight, Nov. 1, and Saturday, Nov. 2. She will perform each night at 7:30 p.m. and 9 p.m.
The Stage welcomes “The Pump and Dump Show” at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 7. Comedian moms will unite for a multimedia, fun-filled night with original music, comedy, games, prizes, commiseration and validation. Veteran stand-up comedian Costaki Economopoulos performs on Nov. 9. Tickets are available at thestageatthestar.com.
The stand-up comedy continues every Thursday. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with comedy starting at 7:30. This month’s lineup is Sid Davis and Gali Kroup on Thursday, Nov. 7, Sean Finnerty and Kevin Casey White on Nov. 14 and Thai Rivera and Garrett Hall on Nov. 21. There is no show on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 28.
