Sports Speak Up! On Lobo women, World Series and Kate Upton

TOO MANY WHISTLES during the UNM-ENMU (women’s basketball) game made for a long game in a very cold Pit. The “touch” foul is just ridiculous.

— MAL, Albuquerque

UNM-ENMU: How confusing it must have been for the players. One team wore gray and the other wore grayer.

KARMA BABY KARMA — being a long suffering Oakland As fan I generally go for the American League team in the World Series. This year I was cheering for the Nationals because of their struggles to get there, especially after our hometown hero Alex Bregman showed his dark side throughout the series.

— RB

RENDON HAS CLASS, Bregman does not.

JUSTIN VERLANDER is not the most handsome man in the world, and now he is 0-6 in World Series decisions. Exactly what does Kate Upton see in him, anyway? Just wondering….

— Uptown Ed

COACH DAVIE, the world beater, he will own this Lobo loss … but can’t take responsibility for a player misconduct. Such a great leader! …

— MV

COACH DAVIE IS going back and forth with all these quarterbacks (but if he) wants to make a change and get fans back in the seats he needs to offer kids from New Mexico. Does anyone remember Andrew Ortiz form St. Pius? He led the Sartans to the 2017 5A State championship. He is the best RPO QB I have seen in a long time. He is playing for Minnesota West JC and he has been player of the week multiple times.

— Randy Gutierrez

A RECENT CALLER to a local sports talk radio show stated that the reason for UNM’s turnovers and penalties is poor nutrition. Hopefully someone will place the Lobos on the “Alabama Diet” as we’ve already seen enough mistakes to last for the season.
