United, Bruce agree on a new deal

Midfielder Daniel Bruce and New Mexico United have agreed on a contract to bring him back for the 2020 season, the team announced Friday.

Bruce, from Warrington, England, made 17 appearances and had two goals and two assists for United in its inaugural United Soccer League season. He joins 13 other United players from this past season whose contract options were exercised.

“I am so fortunate to be a part of the New Mexico United family for another season and have another chance of winning something for this incredible state to celebrate,” Bruce said in a team statement.

United says it remains in talks to bring back four players — Santi Moar, Manny Padilla, Kevaughn Frater, and former Lobo Joshua Goss — who were on one-year deals in 2019.
