ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Police are investigating a Sunday shooting in Northeast Albuquerque that sent one man to a hospital.
Officers were sent to the 2500 block of University NE, near Menaul and Candelaria, in response to a shooting, according to a spokesperson for the Albuquerque Police Department.
“Upon arrival officers located a male victim suffering from at least one gun shot wound,” APD spokesman Tanner Tixier said in a news release Sunday.
The man was taken to UNM Hospital where police say he is in critical but stable condition.
“Based on the severity of his injuries and prognosis, this incident has been made a Violent Crimes call out,” Tixier said. “There is no suspect information to release at this time.”
