Talking Grammer, Ep. 21: A conversation with UNM hoops staffer Craig Snow

Now in his second stint with the UNM Lobos basketball team, Craig Snow talks about the path that led him from star player in college at Evansville to coaching high school basketball in Albuquerque and then landing a role on the Lobos staff with Steve Alford. After three NCAA Tournament seasons, Snow ventured off for five seasons as the head coach at Division II New Mexico Highlands, where he also became athletic director, before returning to UNM this offseason.

We talk to Craig about his journey, what he learned at NMHU, where his team won the school’s first-ever RMAC Tournament title and played in the D-II NCAA Tournament. He also talks about the potential of this season’s Lobos team and even lets me fire some random hoops analytics questions at him at the end.

The podcast accompanies an article on Craig that was published in Wednesday’s Journal.
