ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Police have released photos of a Jeep they suspect was involved in the fatal shooting of a woman in the driveway of her Northwest Albuquerque home last week.
Jacqueline “Jackie” Vigil, 55, was shot and killed as she sat warming up her car on Nov. 19. Police say she was on her way to the gym and they believe the shooting was part of an attempted robbery.

Her car horn began honking and several neighbors came outside. They described seeing two men fleeing in the Jeep.

“The suspect vehicle description appears to be a light color (possibly gold, tan or silver) 2000 to 2005 Jeep Cherokee or Laredo,” police said. “In one of the two photographs, the vehicle appears to have a replacement front passenger quarter panel that is not the same color as the vehicle.”
