ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A man died at Cottonwood Mall Wednesday morning after reportedly jumping from the second floor.

Tom Ruiz, a spokesman for Albuquerque Fire Rescue, told the Journal that crews were dispatched to the mall at 11:09 a.m. for an apparent suicide. He said a man fell from the second to the first floor inside the mall.

The adult male is deceased, Ruiz said.

An employee in Cottonwood Mall’s management office wouldn’t say whether operations at the mall have been affected by the incident.
