SANTA FE – John Shepler has been named 2019 Realtor of the Year by the Santa Fe Association of Realtors.
He formed Shepler Commercial LLC in 2009 and has been offering commercial real estate services since 1984. He was co-owner of Grubb & Ellis New Mexico Commercial Realty office from 1999 to 2009.
Shepler has been a director of the Realtors association’s board in various capacities since 1999 and currently serves as its secretary-treasurer.
A native of Chicago, Shepler grew up in Greenwich, Connecticut. He graduated from Bennington College in Vermont in 1983. After college, a musical career brought him to Santa Fe, where he formed a jazz quartet.
While expanding his music career, he spent his days becoming an experienced leasing agent for commercial properties.
There were other honors bestowed by the association. Gary Wallace, a Realtor with Terra Santa Fe, received a Lifetime Achievement award. Monica Partridge, affiliated with Coldwell Banker Trails West, was honored with the 2019 Rookie of the Year award.
Ray Rush, with Sotheby’s International Real Estate, received the 2019 Legacy award for his service to the real estate community.
