were killed as a result of the wreck. He didn’t have information on their cities of residence.

Rodriguez said their vehicle was headed south on NM 528 about 3:30 a.m., when it crossed the median into the northbound lanes and rolled near the intersection with Rio Arriba Road.

“Alcohol is suspected to be a factor in the crash,” he said.

Whether the two were wearing seat belts is part of the investigation.

The police closed both lanes of NM 528 in the area of the crash for several hours Tuesday morning.
