Sixth ART bus involved in crash

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The Albuquerque Rapid Transit system had a bus involved in a sixth crash since the program started rolling a little under two weeks ago.

The crash happened on eastbound Central and 52nd Street Wednesday afternoon around 2 p.m., according to ABQ Ride spokesman Rick DeReyes.

DeReyes said that a black car turned into the ART bus and “the ART bus sustained hardly any damage.”

Two passengers were on the bus at the time of the crash but were uninjured, DeReyes said.

He said the bus had minor scratches and the car’s back panel was dislodged.
