SFPD: 2 men shot Monday

CORRECTION: This story has been corrected from an earlier version that reported that two officers were shot in Monday’s incident.

SANTA FE — A Santa Fe Police Department spokesman says two men were shot and received non life-threatening injuries.

Spokesman Greg Gurule did not provide any other information on an incident that happened around 7:30 p.m. Monday near the intersection of St. Francis Drive and Sawmill Road, just north of Interstate 25. He said no arrests have been made.

“Officers are still working on this one, it’s a little complicated, a number of people were involved,” Gurule said in an email. “We had two men shot… one in the chest the other in the arm, apparently neither is life threatening.”

Dispatch logs indicate an “assisting ambulance” call occurred at the intersection. About 30 officers responded to the call, according to the logs.
