Person struck, killed on eastbound I-40 near Carlisle

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A person is dead after being hit by a vehicle Friday night on eastbound Interstate 40 near Carlisle, according to the New Mexico State Police.

“The left and middle lanes of I-40 is closed. The far right lane is open,” according to a statement on the State Police Twitter. “Please reduce speed, watch for emergency personnel, expect delays and seek alternative routes.”
