911 caller: Man shot breaking into NW ABQ home

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Albuquerque police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Friday night near Black Farm Lane and Westdale Way in Northwest Albuquerque.

Sgt. Tanner Tixier, an Albuquerque Police Department spokesman, said someone called 911 and reported that a homeowner shot an individual who was trying to break into a home.

“That subject has died from their injuries and this incident is now a violent crimes call out,” Tixier said. “This investigation is still in its infancy and additional information will be released as it becomes available.”

Police have not released the name or age of the man who was killed.
