Brewery Expands to West Side

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Popular downtown Albuquerque watering hole Marble Brewery has opened a second metro-area location on the West Side near the new Presbyterian Rust Medical Center.

The new taproom at 5740 Night Whisper NW in Unser Plaza, just north of Unser and McMahon, welcomed its first customers this week offering a selection of the beers and ales that have gained the brewery a dedicated following.

A couple of Marble’s brews recently won medals at the prestigious Great American Beer Festival in Denver, which attracts entries from several hundred breweries nationwide. Marble won a silver medal in the Imperial Red category and a bronze in the “other beers or strong lagers” category, said brewmaster Ted Rice.

Gozigian and co-owner Jeff Jinnett have made arrangements with the Ironwood Kitchen restaurant across the plaza so customers can order and pay for meals at the taproom and have their food delivered.

Earl Freeman of Freeman’s Finest Construction did the build-out work at the site. Richard Gallegos of Sperry Van Nees Team Southwest was the leasing agent.

Marble opened at First and Marble NW in Downtown Albuquerque in 2008, brewing craft-style beers onsite. There is also a Marble tap room at 60 E. San Francisco St. in Santa Fe.
