ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A woman is dead after being shot at a Northeast Albuquerque apartment complex Thursday night.

Daren DeAguero, an Albuquerque police spokesman, said officers responded to the shooting around 10 p.m. at Sun Pointe Park apartment complex at 4057 Montgomery NE, near Carlisle.

“This is in reference to dispatch receiving a call of a female possibly being shot and lying in the parking lot,” he said.

DeAguero said arriving officers found a wounded woman lying in the parking lot and she was taken to a hospital where she died.

He did not say if police had any suspects or give any other details.
