Albuquerque police say a man on a bicycle was struck and killed by a vehicle Monday afternoon in Northeast Albuquerque.
The crash occurred around 2: 30 p.m. at the intersection of Lomas and Truman NE, near San Mateo. A crash report cites “pedestrian error” and “stopped in traffic” as causes of the crash.
Police say a driver was turning westbound onto Lomas from a parking lot when they struck the bicyclist who was stopped and standing in the turn lane.
“The bicyclist died from injuries sustained during the incident,” the report states.
