February fun: Sandia Resort & Casino offers big winnings for Mardi Gras, Presidents Day

Sandia Resort & Casino has some big promotions inspired by the leap year, Mardi Gras and Presidents Day this February.

Swipe and win on Presidents Day, Feb. 17, for a chance at many prizes, including $500 in free play. Swipe your Peak Rewards card at any promotional kiosk between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. on the promotional day to be part of the fun.

Get your chance at nice prizes in commemoration of Fat Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Feb. 25. Swipe your Peak Rewards card at any promotional kiosk to be part of the Mardi Gras promotion for a chance at prizes including $100 in free play.

Sandia continues its “$350,000 Leap Into the New Year” promotion through Feb. 29. Three winners will be selected every two hours from 1 to 11 p.m. every Saturday. Prizes of $5,000 cash will be given away at 1 p.m. and $10,000 in cash at 11 p.m. Al prizes will be doubled up to $20,000 on Feb. 29. Play your favorite slot or table games to be eligible to win. Sandia is paving the way to easy money during its “$100,000 Road To Riches” promotion. Drawings will be held from 7 to 11 p.m. on Feb. 21. Start strengthening your hands and fingertips for some fast action slot playing during “Super Sunday 777 Slot Tournament Hot Seat” promotion on Sunday, Feb. 16 and 23. Drawings will be held every 30 minutes between 12:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. Slot sessions will be held every 30 minutes from 12:45 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. on the promotion days. Patrons can play in all 10 sessions. Session winners will win up to $200 in slot free play. The overall daily winner will win up to $1,000 in cash.

It’s Girl Scout Cookie season and Sandia is giving its patrons ways to get their hands on the coveted boxes. Peak and Pinnacle level Peak Rewards members will receive two free boxes of cookies from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursdays in February. Summit, Crest and Base level rewards members that earn 50 slot base points will receive two boxes of cookies, while supplies last, during the promotional window on Thursdays this month. Enjoy a romantic dinner and show featuring country legend Ronnie Milsap on Friday, Feb. 14, in the Grand Ballroom. Dinner begins at 7:30 p.m. followed by dinner at 8:30 p.m. Tickets range from $95-$150 per person, plus fees.

Welcome the Lunar New Year with a free show at 9 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, in the Grand Ballroom. The show will feature a Dragon Dance and performances by the Ocean Band, Minh Tuyet, Lam Anh, Truong Vu, Nhu Quynh, Mc Ngoc Han and others.

Rock out with Queensryche and the ladies of Vixen during Sandia’s Blarney Bash at 8 p.m. March 13 in the Grand Ballroom. Tickets are $45, plus fees. This is a 21 and older event with ID. This summer, get ready for the Good Vibes Summer Tour 2020, featuring Rebelution, Steel Pulse, The Green, Keznamdi and DJ Mackle at 7 p.m. Aug. 19 at Sandia Resort & Casino Amphitheater.

Things heat up at the end of February with the National Fiery Foods & Barbecue Show, which runs from Feb. 28 through March 1. The event will feature 170 exhibitors featuring more than 1,000 products, cooking and barbecue demonstrations, free samples and more.
