ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Rio Bravo Boulevard drivers will love this Valentine’s Day gift.
The state Department of Transportation and its contractor AUI say the eastbound lanes of Rio Bravo over the river will reopen Friday, Feb. 14, for the morning commute.
Crews worked “around the clock” to push up the re-opening date, which was originally set for Monday, Feb. 17, the DOT said in a Thursday news release.
But the work isn’t completely done.
“Please keep in mind that crews will continue work underneath and around the bridge to finish work on this project,” the release reads.
The DOT thanked South Valley residents, emergency responders and the traveling public for their patience and understanding.
