ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A shooting that left a woman hospitalized had Bernalillo County sheriff’s deputies shutting down a Southwest Albuquerque intersection for several hours Thursday morning.

Connor Otero, a BCSO spokesman, said they closed off Atrisco Drive in both directions between Bridge and Salvador to investigate.

Otero said the investigation began after a woman arrived to a hospital with a gunshot wound that she possibly received on Atrisco.

On Thursday afternoon, Otero said the woman is alive but did not give an update on her condition or any other details on the shooting.
