APD looking for suspect in Northwest Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Albuquerque police are looking for a suspect in an aggravated assault in the area of 2nd Street and Griegos NW Monday night.

Officer Daren DeAguero, a spokesman for the Albuquerque Police Department, said officers were called to the 4400 block of 2nd Street NW for an aggravated assault earlier in the evening. He said when they arrived the person ran back into the house and refused to come out.

“The subject eventually came out but fled the perimeter,” DeAguero wrote in an email. “Officers are currently searching the area attempting to locate the suspect.”

DeAguero did not say who the suspect was or provide any details about the initial call.
