In the few years since meeting Colt Balok, I’ve watched his determination grow.

As the host of “The Colt Balok Show,’ Balok has pushed himself to create content for TV audiences.

With a tagline of “Love Without Limit,” he’s looking to make a change.

Every week, Balok and his team work tirelessly to create new episodes that help tell the story of the special guests on each episode.

Currently, the show airs in New Mexico.

It is filmed at uStudios, 912 Third NW, near Downtown Albuquerque, in front of a live audience every other Thursday. The crew is made up entirely of New Mexicans.

On April 20, “The Colt Balok Show” will begin airing in Utah, Colorado, Idaho, Wyoming, Nevada and Kansas, in addition to New Mexico. The stations carrying the show will either be CW or Fox.

“We’re determined to be a nationally syndicated show,” Balok says. “Our social media has been doing phenomenal. It’s starting to skyrocket as more people are beginning to pay attention to the show. The content that we’ve been producing over the years continually gets better with each episode.”

One way that happens is by keeping the content nationally and globally relevant.

“We do have a lot of great stories coming out of Albuquerque, and we continue to focus on that,” he says. “It’s about getting the right framing for each story.”

Balok wants to focus on the human connection with each story.

“Each person can leave a positive effect on the world,” he says. “It doesn’t matter how big or small; a connection is a connection.”

With the show gearing up to be in eight more regions, Balok is ready to take the show to a bigger stage.

“I want people to see this kid from Gallup and know that they can reach their dreams,” he says. “I hope it inspires people to become better humans. The point of the show is to tell stories that inspire. We’re all faced with obstacles, and with hard work and dedication, we can overcome and reach them. I’m from Gallup and have had these dreams to host my own show. It’s happening for me now, and it’s beginning to expand. I’m excited. This is something based out of Albuquerque and showcases the talent we have here. I’m taking it day by day.”
