The Bernalillo County Clerk is seeking paid help for the upcoming primary election.
Clerk Linda Stover’s office announced this week that it continues to hire election board members.
Floor judges and systems clerks make $150 per day, according to a news release.
Qualifications include being a registered voter in Bernalillo County. Candidates on the ballot and their relatives are not eligible, nor are those who work in law enforcement. Workers must attend a training session prior to starting.
The election is scheduled for June 2, though early voting locations open Saturday.
“Serving as an election board member at a Voting Convenience Center or at the Voting Machine Warehouse is a very rewarding experience and we have many regulars who do it year after year, for decades even,” Stover said in a statement. “But this year, as you know, we have COVID-19. And while many have stepped forward to serve, we still have some positions available.”
Applications are available online.
