Officials announced 94 additional cases of COVID-19 and four deaths related to the virus in an update Thursday, bringing the statewide total to 10,153 cases and 456 deaths.
Jodi McGinnis Porter, a spokeswoman for the Governor’s Office, said those who died were:
• A woman in her 90s from Bernalillo County who was a resident of the Genesis Uptown Rehabilitation Center.
• A woman in her 30s from McKinley County. She had no underlying conditions.
• A man in his 80s from San Juan County.
• A woman in her 70s from Sandoval County.
She said the new cases include 20 from McKinley County, 13 from Bernalillo County, 12 from Luna County, nine each in San Juan and Doña Ana counties, five each in Rio Arriba, Curry and Sandoval counties, three in Santa Fe County, two each in San Miguel and Cibola counties and one each in Eddy, Lincoln, Quay, Roosevelt and Sierra counties.
Porter said there were also three new cases among Immigration and Customs Enforcement detainees at the Otero County Processing Center, and one new case among state inmates at the Otero County Prison Facility.
There are currently 157 people hospitalized with the virus, 52 of them on ventilators, and 4,439 designated as having recovered by the New Mexico Department of Health.
