ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Crews are trying to fix a broken water main that flooded roads and left neighbors without water Thursday night in the Albuquerque Foothills.

David Morris, a Water Authority spokesman, said the break occurred near Tramway and Indian School NE.

“Crews are on site working on it right now,” he said. “Apparently it’s a pretty large break and there are people reporting they are out of water.”

Morris could not provide a timeline for how long repairs would take or say when people who are experiencing outages might have water again.

The break forced the closure of Tramway in both directions from Menaul to Indian School.
