Chalk it up to a desire to help revitalize blighted areas

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Need to get out of the house? Don’t miss Chalk the Block this Saturday in Nob Hill.

The sidewalks there are open for your creative juices to flow between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. Cool drinks and treats will be available from local businesses, Nob Hill Main Street organizers said in a news release.

Create some art to be seen from Girard to Washington all along Central, with free chalk provided on every other street corner near light posts.

Remember to wear masks and keep a social distance between artists, organizers said.

Nob Hill Main Street, the organizer, is a grassroots collaboration of residents, small businesses and community organizations working together with local government agencies to revitalize blighted areas.
