ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The 505 Awards, which aim to celebrate individuals and organizations that have contributed to economic growth and prosperity in metro Albuquerque, are now accepting nominations.
The 505 Awards, presented by Albuquerque Economic Development and the Albuquerque Forward Fund, are entering their second year, according to a news release from AED. The awards program includes seven categories.
Three award categories — the Community Leadership Award, the Excellence in Workforce Development Award and the Small Business Champion Award — are designed to celebrate organizations. The remaining four categories — the Lifetime Leadership Award, the Advocate of the Year Award, the Public Service Leadership Award and the Rising Star Award — will be given to individuals, according to the release.
Nominations will close on Friday, Aug. 14. Nominees will be contacted by Aug. 18 to provide additional information by Sept. 11, according to the release. Award winners will be notified by Sept. 25, and recognized at a special virtual event on Nov. 12, according to the release.
