Police ID man slain in double shooting

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Detectives have released the name of a man killed in a double shooting off West Central on Wednesday night.

Albuquerque police spokesman Gilbert Gallegos said 29-year-old Mark Williams was killed and a woman was severely injured in the incident.

Gallegos did not give an update on the woman’s condition or release any other details.

Officers responded around 8 p.m. to the shooting in the 200 block of 57th NW, near Central and Old Coors. They found Williams and a woman shot.

Williams died at the scene, and the woman was hospitalized in critical condition.
