Health officials tallied 46 additional cases of COVID-19 and four deaths related to the virus Monday, bringing the statewide total to 26,144 cases and 807 deaths.
Jodi McGinnis Porter, a Governor’s Office spokeswoman, said the four who died were all hospitalized and had underlying conditions.
They include a woman in her 40s from Bernalillo County, a man and a woman, both in their 60s, from McKinley County, and a woman in her 50s from San Juan County.
The new cases reported Monday were 13 from Bernalillo County, six from McKinley County, five each in Doña Ana and Lea counties, four each in San Juan and Eddy counties, two each in Chaves, Luna and Santa Fe counties, and one each in Sandoval, Otero and Grant counties.
There are 65 people hospitalized with the virus and 13,604 designated as having recovered by the New Mexico Department of Health.
