‘Nation’s Report Card’ Scores Released

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — New Mexico ranks near the bottom among states, but shows progess over the past decade


The National Assessment of Educational Progress, often called The Nation’s Report Card, released data today on the math scores of fourth and eighth-graders nationwide. New Mexico’s scores were below the national average, and showed a persistent achievement gap that had not budged from 2007, when data was last released.
