Ticket sales for Santa Fe Independent Film Festival start Wednesday

north Staff

The Santa Fe Independent Film Festival this year is moving to the Downs de Santa Fe – and the comfort of your own home.

Due to restrictions brought about by the coronavirus pandemic, movie theaters in New Mexico aren’t open. So festival organizers plan to utilize the Motorama set up at the Downs. “Attendees” may also sign up to view the films from home through its Virtual Film Festival.

The annual film festival – to be held Oct. 14-18 – will publicly announce its lineup on Wednesday and tickets can be purchased then, though SFIFF members will get a preview of the schedule and be able to buy tickets Tuesday.

Prices are $125 for a virtual cinema pass, $220 for the drive-in package, and $295 for both.

The festival this year will spotlight 30 feature films, documentaries, premieres and narrative feature films, as well as 75 short films and guest panels.
