New Mexico recorded 298 additional cases of COVID-19 and three deaths related to the virus Saturday, bringing the total to 30,296 cases and 890 deaths statewide.
Governor’s Office spokeswoman Nora Meyers Sackett said in a news release Saturday that those who died were a man in his 80s from Bernalillo County, a woman in her 80s from Curry County and a woman in her 70s from Doña Ana County. All three had underlying conditions.
The state reported 75 cases in Bernalillo County; 67 in Doña Ana County; 32 in Chaves County; 22 in Lea County; 20 in Curry County; 16 in Eddy County; 13 in Santa Fe County; 10 in Roosevelt County; eight each in Sandoval and Valencia counties; six in Luna County; four each in San Juan and Otero counties; two each in McKinley and Socorro counties; one each in Sierra, San Miguel, Rio Arriba, Quay, Los Alamos, Lincoln, Hidalgo, Grant and Cibola counties.
There are 95 people hospitalized with the virus, 13 of whom are on ventilators, and 17,210 cases determined as having recovered by the New Mexico Department of Health.
