Fright night at Movies in the Parking Lot

Bernalillo County’s Movies in the Parking Lot series is showing spooky flicks every Friday this October at the Isleta Amphitheater, 5601 University SE.

The lineup is “The Goonies” on Oct. 9, “A Nightmare on Elm Street” on Oct. 16, “It” on Oct. 23, and “Halloween” – the 2018 version – on Oct. 30.bright spot

Showtime is at 7:30 p.m. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. on a first come, first served basis, county officials said in a news release. Food trucks will be available. Outside food and drink is permitted, although no alcohol or grills are allowed.

Each vehicle is assigned a parking space with a front porch area for seating; bring your own chairs.

Masks must be worn when outside of vehicles.

The movies are free, but you can make non-perishable food donations to the Roadrunner Food Bank.

Scheduled movies are subject to cancellation due to weather conditions.
