Shooting at McDonald’s leaves 1 dead in NW Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A man was shot and killed at a Northwest Albuquerque McDonald’s early Saturday morning, Albuquerque police say.

Sgt. Tanner Tixier, a spokesman for the Albuquerque Police Department, said in an email that the shooting occurred at the McDonald’s at 1501 Coors NW. He said police were dispatched to the shooting at 1:40 a.m.

“Upon their arrival, they located a male victim who was eventually declared deceased on scene,” Tixier said. “This is a homicide call out.”

He said investigators had no offender information to release.
