Bosque Brewing Company is offering scholarships to college students enrolling in brewing education programs in New Mexico.
The brewery’s Represent New Mexico Scholarship Fund is offering $1,000 toward the Central New Mexico Community College Brewing and Beverage Management program and $1,000 toward the New Mexico State University Chemical Engineering, Brewing Minor Program. Additional $1,000 scholarship opportunities may be awarded for other online programs based on need, according to Bosque’s scholarship website.
The application deadline is Friday, Oct. 16. The application and other information can be found at bosquebrewing.com/representnmscholarship.
Filling out the application is the first step in the scholarship awarding process. Accepted applicants will be asked to provide additional information including an essay. The final round will require an in-person interview with Bosque’s scholarship committee. The committee is comprised of Bosque staff working in various departments and management levels.
“Bosque Brewing’s Represent New Mexico Scholarship Fund will provide brewing education opportunities specifically for individuals from disenfranchised groups, including, but not limited to race, sexual orientation, physical ability, or age,” according to the website. “This builds on our commitment to disenfranchised groups already established with our sister restaurant, Restoration Pizza, and the Spacelion for Life Foundation (in partnership with NMSU).”
