Albuquerque police spokesman Gilbert Gallegos said Inn Sohn, 46, attended the same church as Matthew Montoya, 52, and investigators believe Montoya is “the last known person to have seen Sohn before he went missing.”

Gallegos said detectives had been trying to get in touch with Montoya about Sohn’s disappearance before Montoya fatally shot his wife, Eva Montoya, 50, outside a strip mall Monday. Matthew Montoya was shot and killed by detectives later that day.

The department sent out a missing persons alert about Sohn on Sept. 18 but have resent the alert after learning of his connection to Montoya.

Sohn was last heard from on Aug. 29 in the area of Telluride, Colorado. He is described as 5 feet, 10 inches, and 130 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.

Sohn was driving his 2014 brown Honda four-door hatchback with a California license plate 7DTP255.
