A 14-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the death of his mother at a home in Marana, according to authorities.
Pima County Sheriff’s officials said the teenager was being held on suspicion of second-degree murder. His name wasn’t being released because he’s a juvenile.
Sheriff’s officials said deputies responded to a report of a disturbance at the Marana residence around 3:30 a.m. Sunday.
Upon arrival, authorities said 45-year-old Tiana Keen was found inside the home with obvious signs of trauma and pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities said Keen and her son were visiting from out of town when the incident occurred.
Sheriff’s officials didn’t immediately disclose how the woman died or release any other information about the case.
