Santa Fe’s Cowgirl BBQ is temporarily hanging up its saddle and closing its doors for at least three months effective Nov. 16.
The announcement, made by the Board of Directors President Patrick Lambert, came shortly after Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham announced a two-week shutdown order on Friday.
“The Cowgirl will begin a temporary three month cessation of operations due to the devastating impacts of COVID-19 in New Mexico,” according to a news release.
According to the release, the restaurant, at 319 S. Guadalupe St., opened in 1993 and employs 75 people.
