Doña Ana Community College will move all classes online starting Wednesday due to a significant rise in COVID-19 cases in the Las Cruces and El Paso areas, a news release from the college says.
The move comes as New Mexico enters a two-week public health order starting Monday that effectively asks residents to shelter in place. The release did not specify when in-person classes will resume.
Face-to-face classes will meet as scheduled on Monday and Tuesday. Student services such as the Testing Center, computer labs and Cashier’s Office will be available remotely. Essential school employees will still report to work as scheduled, the release says.
