Amber Alert canceled for 3-month-old baby

Police on Monday issued an Amber Alert for 3-month-old Elicio Platero who may be with his biological mother Amy Platero, 30. (NMSP)

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The Valencia County Sheriff’s Office Monday afternoon canceled the Amber Alert for 3-month-old Elicio Platero, who has been located and is safe, that was issued early Monday morning.

The alert issued just after 9 a.m. said Elicio Platero was last seen about 2:45 a.m. Monday in Meadow Lake near Los Lunas with Amy Platero, 30, traveling in a blue 2000 Nissan Xterra with New Mexico turquoise plate KRK-206.

An investigation is ongoing and the whereabouts of Elicio Platero is of “urgent concern,” VCSO said.

The direction of travel was unknown.

Anyone with any information was asked to call the Valencia County Sheriff’s Office at (505) 866-2400 or dial 911, according to a news release.
