Sports Speak Up! On Lobo football, pros and cons of playing golf in a pandemic

UNM FOOTBALL head coach referring to the Nevada players — “…them boys limped off the field… .” Love the new UNM football mentality. If ya can’t beat ’em, beat ’em. Go Lobos. MarkSD

LET’S SEE IF I have this right. I can go (shopping and) be in contact with thousands of items that have already been touched by hundreds of others and I can mingle with dozens of people, many of which have their masks pulled own so they can talk out loud and rudely on their phones, But, I can’t go sit, by myself, in a sanitized golf cart (which the courses do an excellent job of cleaning) only touching my own clubs and golf balls? Makes perfect sense, at least to MLG I guess.

REGARDING THE POST from EMM, he must be playing a different golf course than my group, and we play a number of them regularly. Yes, masks are worn in the clubhouse, driving range and practice green. But as soon as a good half of all golfers hit off No. 1, masks come off, never to be seen again. And of course no enforcement of any kind. Kudos to the Governor. All she is doing is her best to keep New Mexicans safe, healthy, and alive.
