ABQ gains new waste removal option

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Albuquerque has gained a new way to dispose of waste in an environmentally friendly way with the opening of Junk King in mid-November. The new waste hauling service located at 6101 Signal NE recycles or repurposes 60% of the waste it collects, according to a news release.

“The addition of Junk King will have a positive impact on our community with the immediate creation of 4 jobs and the addition of a national franchise to New Mexico,” the release said.

Junk King provides no contact waste removal for items like hot tubs, mattresses and electronic waste.

Franchise owner Chris Young said the company also works with local charities to help re-purpose collected items.

Brokers and agents with NAI Maestas & Ward represented the tenant.
