Spirits of the season: New Mexico breweries, distilleries and wineries offer gifts to go

Santa Fe Spirits is helping your gift receivers be their own personal bartender with its bottled cocktails. The Mesquite Manhattan is created with single malt, vermouth and bitters. NM Negroni features Wheeler’s gin, vermouth and bitters. Estrella is made with gin, vodka and Lillet Blanc. Nut Job is a blend of single malt and sweet vermouth. Craft beer connoisseurs and novices will be delighted with a special gift from Bosque Brewing Co. Its Royally Stuffed, scheduled for release on Dec. 18, is an imperial pastry stout that has big chocolate flavors and the creaminess of a chocolate sandwich cookie.

Spruce Tip Ale is back just in time for the holidays at Casa Vieja Brewery in Corrales. The beer made out of Colorado evergreens features Ashburne Pale Malt and an added touch of Caramel Malt.
